Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

Main Stages (for ages 6-16 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, while at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Kristi Wenaus

The theatre has been in Kristi’s blood since she first started “performing” at her parent’s dinner parties when she was 5 years old. She’s pretty sure she auditioned for every single part in her grade 4 production of Mary Poppins, just to ensure she got a role and while she moved from school to school in her junior years, the theatre was her rock. It gave her a stage to be herself, to meet new people, exercise her creative drive and to grow into the confident and successful person she is today.

As a performing arts student all through her youth she continued her education into college, studying Theatre Arts at Dalhousie University. She worked professionally as both a singer and an actress in both film and stage and eventually landed a position with the entertainment team at Princess Cruise Lines which gave her an opportunity to travel the world and be on stage virtually every day for almost 10 years at sea.

She returned home to Nova Scotia to raise her family and her professional focus switched to International Business Development and Marketing. Her passion for the theatre has never died though and she is thrilled to be bringing the first Stagecoach School to Atlantic Canada, empowering children to find their Creative Courage through the performing arts.
